As you may already be aware, over the past 48 hours, 3 members of our primary cohort here at Nugent House School have tested positive for COVID 19.

I have spoken this morning with Public Health England and as a result I have made the decision to close the primary cohort of our school to allow the close contacts of these individuals to self isolate.

We have many measures in place across our whole school site to keep us as safe as possible and to allow us to support learning for as many students as possible. These measures mean that your child does not need to self isolate and can continue to attend school as normal.

Please click here to read the measures that have been put in place.

I understand this is a worrying time, and want you to feel confident that I am doing absolutely all I can to ensure I am making the right decisions about any changes we make to the way school operates. The safety, wellbeing and learning of every member of the school community is my number one priority, and I urge you to telephone me here in school if you have any questions.

I am very proud of the way my staff and students have risen to the COVID 19 challenge so far, and I thank you for your ongoing support as we continue to work together to do the very best we can for all our students in these unprecedented times.

Yours

Sarah E Gregory
